Maltepe University School of Nursing, which was established in 1997 but suspended for ten years, started undergraduate education in nursing again in 2007 and offers a four- year bachelor’s degree programme.

The School curriculum has specific characteristics which allow learners to be initiative nurses who have holistic and humanistic philosophy, communicate effectively, be compatible with teamwork, be able to create or keep up with changes to improve quality, be able to reach up- to -date information and use new technology. In curriculum, besides the basic courses which offer improving, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care, learners have medical and social science courses as well. By means of elective art courses like music, painting and photography it is targeted to improve the perception and understanding skills of learners.
